On October 28th and 29th, 2021, The Capacity Building Trainings for the members of the Azerbaijani Bar Association were held in cooperation with the Council of Europe Baku Office and the Academy of Justice on “Gender Equality and Media Freedom”. 

The expert Mr. Juan Barata from the Council of Europe conducted the trainings. Throughout the trainings, a detailed exchange of views on international standards on gender equality and media freedom, the current state of gender equality in Azerbaijan, the role of women in the media, the role of gender equality and media freedom etc. were provided.

At the end of the trainings, discussions were held and questions of the lawyers were answered by the expert.
